Five questions that new agents should ask about their brokerages.
Did you know that almost 90% of agents either fail or quit the real estate industry within their first year of getting started? Today I’ll propose five questions that all agents need to think through and discuss.
1. Does the firm you are interviewing with (or working at currently) provide you leads? If they do, are they quality leads? Do you know where those leads come from? Do they charge you upfront for them?
2. Do they teach you a foolproof selling system that enables you to consistently convert leads and prospects into signed agency agreements and closed sales?
“Successful agents always credit their mentors for having a hand in their success.”
3. Does the agency provide actual brokerage training that teaches you how to become a great Realtor? If so, how often, and what do they teach?
4. Does your agency provide a mentoring program where other agents actually spend time with you face to face in order to explain how to make sales and be a great broker?
5. Does your agency provide on the job paid training? Do they actually pay you money while you are newer in the business that helps you pay the bills as you get your feet under you in this competitive industry?
If the firm you’re interested in working for (or may already be working at) doesn’t offer those kinds of opportunities, please give me a call or send me an email. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Hope to hear from you soon!
