Here’s why accountability is so important for us as real estate agents.

I wanted to talk to you today about the importance of accountability. A lot of people get into real estate and aren’t held accountable. Sometimes they get a sale, and sometimes they don’t, and no one around them cares either way. That can work for some people, but most of the time it doesn’t because, without a structured plan, it’s hard to go anywhere.

At our company, the first thing we do is help you set up a very basic business plan and hold you to it. It’s not hard to set up; all you have to do is come in and tell us how much money you’d like to make in a year and how much you’re willing to do to get there. From that, we reverse engineer those goals into a step-by-step plan that is broken down month to month, week to week, and day to day. Once a month, we’ll meet with you and hold you accountable to.

Another part of this accountability is that I’ll be providing you with a ton of leads, marketing, and transaction management. If we’re putting out money to help you and you want to grow, we have to measure everything and hold you accountable, but it’s in a good way. Most of the agents here like this component. Quite frankly, they have to answer to their significant other, children, and themselves every month too.

When you’re doing well, it feels great to be in that monthly meeting. When you’re doing badly, you need that kick in the rear to get you going in the right direction.
